Sergeant Chris Hodek is a Los Angeles District Attorney (LADA) Investigator. He is the supervisor of the LADA Cyber Investigation Response Team (CIRT). Chris’ team is the law enforcement arm of the response to cyber-attacks, intellectual property thefts, and network intrusions against Los Angeles County government technology assets and resources, including human resources. Chris is a member of the United States Secret Service Cyber Fraud Task Force, as well as the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Identity Theft Task Force.
Chris provides outreach education in areas of Cyber Security and Cyber Awareness to various community groups. He is also a certified California Law Enforcement instructor and has taught hundreds of peace officers in detective disciplines that include internet investigations and search warrant preparation, among others.
Before becoming an LADA Investigator Chris was a police officer in Orange County. He holds a BS in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University.
